Medium red. Fairly deep, floral aromas of cherry, strawberry, roast coffee, spice and smoke. A major step up in ripeness and sweetness from the basic Martinenga bottling, with red cherry and oak spice flavors nicely framed by ripe acidity. Finishes with very good length and sweet, fine (oak) tannins that turned a bit drier as the wine opened in the glass. Here the oak appears to sweeten the middle of the wine but dry the finish.
