The nose is powerful and complex, offering macerated dark cherry, dried plum, leather, forest floor, tobacco, and persistent floral notes of violet. On the palate, it is full-bodied and densely textured, with ripe, sweet, and finely grained tannins that have softened but provide substantial structure. Vibrant acidity balances the wine's rich weight, carrying flavors of compoted dark fruits, licorice, cocoa, and savory depth. The finish is exceptionally long, warm, and layered.
