This wine comes from the great Pastrana vineyard, the heart of the Hidalgo properties. This very old unsweetened Amontillado is light, fine, long and complex almost to a fault. The ultimate in delicacy! This wine is a must for the aficionado, but perhaps a bit dry for the novice. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne and Sherry buyer) According to the Wine Spectator: "The fino style shines through in this caramel-, iodine- and walnut-infused Sherry. Lightweight, yet intense, dry and firm, it's balanced and lingers on the finish. Drink now. 400 cases made."
