Thibault Marion said that the company had made a Chambolle-Charmes way back in the 1950s, so the 2013 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Charmes marks a return (or sorts!) From purchased grapes, it has a rather foursquare bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry scents intermingling with tomato vine. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, moderate weight, but perhaps missing the complexity that this propitious premier cru should give. Let's see how it shows post-bottling. - (Wine Advocate)
