In much the same fashion as the Latricières, this is also quite reserved at present with an exceptionally cool but elegant, airy, and pure nose that is compositionally similar yet even more complex. Also like the Latricières, the palate impression is intensely mineral-driven while the hugely powerful big-bodied flavors possess so much underlying tension that they seem to explode on the focused and almost painfully intense finish that delivers genuinely stunning length. This is a classic Chambertin that is austere, regal and very, very backwards. In short, this is simply marvelous. - (Burghound)
