Tasting Note
This is quite ripe yet also very fresh with a hint of wood spice to the plum, cassis and warm earth suffused nose. There is good concentration to the relatively powerful broad-shouldered flavors that possess plenty of palate coating dry extract that also serves to buffer the very firm tannic spine on the textured and solidly persistent finish. This is not as complex as the other grands crus in the range though it's obviously very early so perhaps more will develop in time. That said, while my predicted range obviously foresees some future development, I should note that the underlying material is not as strong as the best here. - (Burghound)
