A brooding and highly reserved nose only grudgingly gives up its array of red and dark currant aromas that enjoy added breadth in the form of floral, earth and humus nuances. There is a driving minerality to the mouth coating and focused middle weight plus flavors that are ultra-vibrant, all wrapped in a wonderfully long, balanced and, like the Clos de Vougeot, youthfully austere finish.
