Description
描述

Following fifteen years as winemaker at Comte Armand, Benjamin Leroux is now amongst an elite band of specialist micro-négociants setting up in the Côte D’Or. Based in Beaune, Benjamin uses his network of contacts to source only the very best fruit and, where he has contracts, likes to advise on vineyard practices to make sure that the raw material is of the highest quality. He makes wines from a broad and diverse selection of appellations, but all show a true connection to their origins.

Tasting Note
品嚐筆記
The 2017 Benjamin Leroux Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a beautifully crafted, seductive wine that captures the charming, forward style of the vintage. It presents a bright, translucent ruby hue. The nose is highly expressive and aromatic, offering juicy red cherries, crushed raspberries, wild strawberries, and delicate floral notes of violet, all underscored by subtle earthy complexity and a spicy accent. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a silky, supple, and immediately pleasurable texture. Fine-grained, integrated tannins and vibrant acidity provide perfect balance to the pure, succulent fruit core, while a distinct stony minerality adds seriousness and focus. The finish is long, elegant, and clean, with lingering red berries and a saline touch. This is an immensely approachable Grand Cru that delivers both hedonistic charm and terroir-driven depth, promising excellent drinkability now with the structure to evolve gracefully over the next decade.
