The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes offers an attractive cranberry, wild strawberry and pomegranate-scented bouquet with neatly integrated oak. The palate is feisty and energetic on the entry. The tannin feels a little chalky, though the acidity is well-judged and lends the finish a natural sense of composure and freshness. Nimble on its toes, I appreciate the sustain here, completing a delicious Gevrey-Chambertin from Thibault Marion.
