There is a discreet but not invisible touch of wood to the cool pear, grapefruit and mineral reduction suffused nose. There is superb intensity to the racy, detailed and abundant mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that also possess a markedly saline character to the bone dry but not particularly austere finish, indeed there is a succulent quality to the mid-palate that helps to buffer the dryness of the finish.
