Notes of hoisin, sandalwood, Asian-style tea and cassis make for a highly spiced nose. There is an almost lavish richness to the very generously proportioned medium weight plus flavors that brim with dry extract that helps to buffer the pronounced tannic spine shaping the robust and beautifully persistent finish. This too is really quite impressive and worth considering.
