A wonderfully fresh, cool and complex nose of wet stone and airy red berry fruit coupled with hints of underbrush and pungent Gevrey-style earth serves as a worthy foil for the detailed, intense and gorgeously energetic middle weight flavors that possess real verve on the refined, pure and stunningly long finish. This is a serious effort yet the ripeness of the '09 vintage tames the natural austerity of the terroir.
