Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the site. By using the site or any part of it, you agree that you have read these terms and conditions and that you accept and agree to be bound by them.
There is no minimum order however to qualify for free delivery the purchase must total over $1,000. Under this amount will be charged a fee of $120. Orders to some outlying areas may attract a handling charge - See Delivery
In these Terms and Conditions, 'our company' or 'Global Wine Cellar' will mean Global Wine Cellar Limited, and 'Client' will mean any person, firm, company, institution or organization which places an order with Global Wine Cellar Limited.
Tasting notes and ratings
The tasting notes presented for wines and sake are meant as a guide only and Global Wine Cellar takes no responsibility for the opinions of the authors. Although every effort is made to present the most recent ratings reviews and tasting notes Global Wine Cellar cannot ensure that there is not more recent reviews available and recommends that you contact the reviewer directly for the most recent notes or ratings.
Unless otherwise stated the product images are not the images of the exact bottles you will receive. The images shown on this website are shown as a fair indication of the product appearance and what you should reasonably expect to receive unless otherwise stated. If you require an exact image for any reason please contact our company to make arrangements.
The price indicated on the web site is the price you should expect to pay inclusive of all discounts related to your membership status. In the event that the price is not correct, due to a data entry error or other means, Global Wine Cellar reserves the right to correct the price and advise the Client accordingly. In such a case the Client has the right to cancel the order. If the revised pricing is accepted by the client then the normal terms of sale will apply.
Prices are set by Global Wine Cellar and we reserve the right to change them at any time, without notice.
If you feel that the pricing displayed on the website or on your order is not correct please contact our company to advise us.
The client should check the pricing on the order and confirmation as acceptance of these indicates an acceptance of the price.
Discounts on displayed prices are offered at the discretion of Global Wine Cellar and we reserve the right to alter these at any time, without notice.
When an order is placed via the www.GWCellar.com it is to be considered an expression of intent to purchase and the final transaction is reliant upon confirmation by Global Wine Cellar of stock availability and acceptance by the client. Placement of the order alone should in no way be considered as confirmation of availability.
In the event that stock is not available the client will be contacted by one of the Global Wine Cellar sales team. It is not the policy of Global Wine Cellar to substitute stock unless accepted by the client prior to the confirmation stage of the transaction.
It is illegal to sell alcohol to people under the age of 18.
By placing an order, the client confirms that he/she is 18 years old or above.
Global Wine Cellar shall make every effort to ensure that prices, details and sizes of products on this website are up to date. Prices and quantity are subject to change without prior notice and all orders are subject to Global Wine Cellar’s acceptance at its sole discretion and stock availability. All goods sold under reasonable circumstances, are not exchangeable, as well as non-refundable.
The condition of wine
All of the fine wines reach the shoulder level or better, unless otherwise indicated. Global Wine Cellar maintains the highest standards in the transportation, handling and storage of wine and can accept no responsibility for the wine after it has been signed for or left its care. Clients are solely responsible for the proper care and storage of the wine once they have accepted delivery. Global Wine Cellar does not accept the return of wine for any reason, including corked wine, and clients should inspect the conditions of wines and labels before accepting the goods.
Corked or spoiled wine
Wine is a natural product and as such it is possible that it can be affected by other elements that it may come into contact with including, but not limited to, cork, sunlight, and lack of humidity, excessive heat or excessive cold. Whilst every care is taken along the way it is impossible to guarantee the condition of the wine through aging or other natural occurrences. This is an inherent risk in purchasing wine and by agreeing to purchase wine from Global Wine Cellar you are accepting the responsibility of that risk. Wines that are found to be faulty or “corked” after opening will not be exchanged or refunded.
The client is requested to examine the goods (including glassware and accessories) immediately upon delivery for any deficiencies and/or damages. Claims (if any) must be made to us at the time of delivery; claims made after this may not be accepted. No returns shall be made on glassware or accessories after the receiver has acknowledged receipt of the goods.
In the event that you would like to claim an exchange of goods, please contact us within 3 days from the date of delivery with a valid invoice.
All of the goods sold by Global Wine Cellar must be paid in full before the transfer of ownership passes to the Client. Any outstanding transactions, consignment stock, stock on credit terms, or partial payment of the goods and invoice, the ownership remains with Global Wine Cellar Limited.
Law and Jurisdiction
All sales and contracts are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR.
Payment for online orders
Payment is due immediately upon receipt of order confirmation, except for approved trade accounts. Method of payment may be in the form of HKD cheque, Cash on Delivery or by Bank Transfer. Please allow 1 to 3 working days for payment to clear before goods may be released. No credit or debit cards will be accepted.
Note: Invoices will be issued after full payment is received.

Please allow 3 working days for cheques to clear before goods can be released.
You are required to register as a member before placing any order through this website.
During the registration:
a. You must provide us with accurate, complete and up to date registration information;
b. You must safeguard your username and password;
c. You confirm that you or any person using your account is above 18-years old and is authorized to act for you;
Global Wine Cellar has the absolute discretion to refuse registration of a potential client and to terminate the registration of any client for any reason whatsoever.
Membership levels and any associated discounts or offers are granted at the discretion of Global Wine Cellar and may be withheld without explanation. If you believe that you are not registered in the correct category then please send an email with your contacts to Sales@GWCellar.com
The personal information that you provide will only be used for billing and delivery purposes and will never be offered or sold to third parties for any reason unless required to by law. You will only be contacted about promotions and offers if you have indicated on the registration form that you wish to be sent this information. Should you wish to change this you can uncheck the box at any time and you will no longer be sent this information.
In the event that you wish to cancel your registration and membership you may do so on line and your personal details will be deleted from our system.
Global Wine Cellar Limited offers free delivery services for every purchase on or above HKD$1,000 (Single location only) to Hong Kong's major regions such as Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories. There is a fee of HKD$120 for deliveries under HKD$1,000.
Outlying islands and areas commonly accessed by ferry may apply additional charge to cover the cost of third party service providers. The charge is subject to the quantity ordered and the destination. We will inform you before delivery.
In the event of a T8 or Black Rain alert being declared by the Hong Kong Bureau of Meteorology orders and deliveries will be processed on the first day of normal work after the cancelling of the alert by the Bureau.
Global Wine Cellar Limited will not be liable for any failure to meet our obligations occurred by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
